Personal Statement :

I have been in practice for 28 years and continue to greatly enjoy the work I do with individuals and couples. My goal in therapy is to help people make positive change in their relationship and in themselves. In therapy I listen carefully to you, help you come to an understanding of what is causing your problem, and give you specific strategies to make things different, including "homework assignments". We will set goals and work toward those as quickly as possible.

In my practice I specialize in both sexual therapy and marital therapy (some clients see me specifically for sexual problems, some see me for marital problems, and some see me for both). The kinds of sexual problems I work with include: lack of interest in sex, lack of orgasm, erection problems, painful sex, premature ejaculation, inability to have sex, and sexual addiction. I also work with the effects of medical problems on sex and intimacy, including infertility, cancer, and menopause.

In the marital therapy I do, I focus on helping couples improve their communication and their overall intimacy. My philosophy is to work to keep marriages together and healthy by helping each partner better understand the other and develop specific strategies for making their relationship better.
