As a psychotherapist with 20 years of experience, I know, quite simply, what works: when people are engaged in the creative process of remembering and understanding their DREAMS, a psychologically organic and powerful change begins to occur. It is as if after years of spending their lives in a locked dark room, suddenly a light is switched on, and for the first time in a long time, if not ever, they can see how they got stuck in that "neurotic" place, and begin to make their way out into the open space before them.

As a Jungian-oriented therapist, I encourage people to work with their dreams EVEN IF THEY HAVE NEVER REMEMBERED A DREAM in their lives. Psychology means the logic of the psyche, and the psyche is really what we more commonly refer to as the "unconscious". Psyche is Greek for Soul, and so it is in the unconscious that we find our souls, our selves. We are unconscious of our souls in that dark room) when we do not remember our dreams; we are conscious of our soul when we do.
