Personal Statement :

Counseling is one of many methods available to assist in self-discovery and self-awareness for the purpose of changing some aspect of life that has become uncomfortable. When choosing this method it is important to select a practitioner with whom you feel safe, as you are forming a healing partnership with that person.
The relationship between therapist and client is unique. Time spent together is purposefully structured to support that uniqueness and establish a framework and rhythm for working. Our purpose in working together will be centered in a spirit of safety, dignity, and respect at all times for your goals and needs.

My areas of expertise include marriage and relationship counseling, grief counseling, divorce/separation issues, adult adoption issues, family of origin dysfunction, incest, women's support issues. I also have created, written and facilitated stress management seminars, relationship seminars, as well as co-facilitating a weekly support group for people experiencing the pain and confusion surrounding divorce, separation, and significant relationship endings. I have written and facilitated annual weekend retreats for divorced, separated, and relationnship ending populations, since 1992.

I also have created and conducted adult education classes and seminars, including "Opening Our Hearts to Relationships That Work," "Exploring the Shadow in Romantic Relationships," €œEmotional Unavailability," and €œForgiveness and Freedom."

Payments/Condition :

Sessions will be 55 minutes long. Five minutes prior to ending a session we will review and make closure. You will gradually develop the ability to work comfortably and competently within these boundaries. My fee is $115.00 per session; payment is made directly to me at the start of the session as part of the session. There is no billing for insurance. You will receive a superbill documenting visit, purpose, fee, etc., which you can submit to your insurance carrier.

Credentials/Training :

I hold a Bachelor's in Science degree from Arizona State University. I hold a Master's in Educational Psychology (Counseling Emphasis) degree from Northern Arizona University. I am licensed by the State of Arizona Board of Behavioral Health.

Office Hours :
